Car Moving ChecklistWith the careful car movers, you can be confident that your car will arrive in exactly the same condition it was at departure. However, there are a number of steps you can take to prepare for your car's move.Car WashingIn order to expedite origin inspection, please present the car to SEARAIL in clean condition. This allows for quick and fair evaluation of the car prior to shipment. AntennasAntennas should be lowered or removed. Temporary antennas such as cell phone or CB radios should be removed. KeysSEARAIL requires that 1 set of keys be provided for the car. AlarmsAlarms should be turned off. If there are special instructions required to start a car to disarm an alarm, please let SEARAIL know. SEARAIL is not responsible for drained batteries as a result of an alarm that has not been turned off. Luggage RacksNon-permanent luggage, bike, or ski racks should be removed. Cracked GlassShould the car glass have a nick, scratch, chip, or crack, or other condition, SEARAIL will not be responsible for damage caused by a pre-existing problem. ClimateCars should be prepped for the new climate conditions. This may include engine coolant, transmission oil, and other fluids. SEARAIL is not responsible for damage caused as a result of Acts of Nature. SpoilersSpoilers, fairing, air dams, or other low hanging items should be removed, or sufficient clearance assured, to expedite loading on the rail and truck ramps. Car PhonesCar phones and removable radios should be removed from the vehicle. Personal BelongingsNo personal belongings may be shipped with the vehicle whatsoever. Caps / CanopiesCaps and Canopies on pickup trucks must be properly bolted to the box of the truck to ensure safe delivery. |
