Tour: Guide to Shipping your Vehicle with Searail

1. Survey

The start of our engagement with you begins with a complete survey of the vehicle. The survey is done so both parties are aware of the condition of the vehicle at origin. Our qualified surveyors generally take five minutes to complete the process.

2. Pick-Up Service (Optional)

If we are providing pickup service at your location, your vehicle is carefully driven onto a flatbed tow truck and transported to our rail depot.

3. Load

At the rail depot, your vehicle is driven up a specially designed ramp to the CN railcar. The ramps and railcars are desiged to prevent damage during the loading and unloading process.

4. Secure

Your vehicle is fastened securely to the CN railcar with sophisticated tie-down systems that allow your vehicle to ride freely on its own suspension. The enclosed railcars ensure no damages occur while your vehicle is in transit. Most newly manufactured cars are distributed across North America in these exact railcars.

5. Transport

Your vehicle is then shipped to the destination rail depot over CN's rail network. CN's EDI monitoring and tracing systems help ensure reliable, on-time delivery.

6. Unload

At the destination rail depot, your vehicle is driven down the ramp and placed in Searail's secured compound. Your vehicle is now ready for pickup.

7. Delivery Service (Optional)

If you've chosen delivery service, your vehicle is carefully driven onto a flatbed tow truck and delivered right to your door.
